Sad Statistic
I was just checking the validity of my concern for pedestrians walking along the road at night without some reflectivity or light. Well this paper confirms it.
Exactly what I was trying to say on my previous comment. Be careful on the roads. They're fatal. Don't get caught up in the novelty of african driving.
James, what do you think about this great idea...reflective arm bands! I thought we'd give them out to villages for free but maybe they wouldn't value them if they don't buy them. So maybe just cover costs. Know any cheap sources for reflective armbands?
oh so that is what you want the armbands for. why didn't you tell me. mom is all worried and said to tell you that you just shouldn't be walking on the roads at night. now she is looking for you a full reflective vest. I will tell her not to buy it. i will check on armband pricing though.

i know the army uses reflective waistbands...you could try them first.
I know there is reflective body paint that glows in the dark.
